Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka observed the foundation Day of Ramakrishna Mission with festivity and spiritual fervor on the 1 May 2018 with a day-long program. The program was marked by a devotees’ convention in the morning and a discussion meeting in the evening. The devotees’ convention included special puja of Sri Ramakrishna, Homa, Bhajan Sangeet and Reading from the scriptures.
The discussion meeting titled ‘Ramakrishna Mission and Ideal of Service’ was held at 7:30 pm in the Temple. With Srimat Swami Ameyanandaji Maharaj in the chair, the discussion meeting was addressed by Sri Milton Kumar Dev, Associate Professor, Department of History, University of Dhaka, as the Chief Guest, Sri Mohit Pradhan, Asst. Professor, Dept of Social Welfare, Ranada Prasad Saha University, Narayanganj and Suraiya Akhter, Lecturer, Department of English, Uttara University as the special guests. Swami Vedamayananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Ashrama and Ramakrishna Mission Seva Samity, Habiganj, spoke on the topic as the key discussant. Swami Shantikarananda, Asst. Secretary of the Managing Committee of Ramakrishna Mission, Dhaka deliver the inaugural speech while Swami Ramakantananda, Ramakrishna Math, Dhaka gave the vote of thanks at the end of the program.
Around 1000 people attended this day-long program and took prasad.
