In connection with the 125 years of the foundation of Ramakrishna Mission, the Jhargram centre organized a district level conference of NGO’s, voluntary organizations and social workers on Sunday, 12 June 2022 in the ashrama premises. The objectives of this conference were to explain to them the ideals and activities of the Ramakrishna Mission, to establish rapport with the Jhargram ashrama and with one another, to recognize their silent work of service to the poor & needy and inspire them in their chosen path of action.
300 persons from 65 organizations and 50 individual social workers attended the conference. Swami Satyeshananda, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Devavarananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Lalgarh and Sri Swapan Bandyopadhyay, eminent Educationist from Purulia, Sri Sushil Kr Burman, Principal, Jhargram Raj College (Girls) graced the function and enlightened the audience. The participants were given a kit containing a book on Swamiji’s teachings and a memento. Breakfast and lunch were served to all.
