As part of the nationwide celebration of National Sports Day 2026, observed from 28 to 30 August 2026 under the inspiring theme “Khelega Bharat, Jitega Bharat”, Ramakrishna Mission, Ujjain, organised a cycle rally on 30 August 2026 to promote physical fitness, healthy living and awareness of sports among the youth.
The rally commenced at around 7:00 a.m. from Kothi Palace and proceeded through different parts of Ujjain City before reaching K.D. Palace at approximately 9:30 a.m., covering a distance of about 13 km. The participants carried a banner bearing the message “Khelega Bharat, Jitega Bharat”, spreading the inspiring message of an active and healthy India.
The rally was attended by Swami Anubhavananda, Br. Muktesha Chaitanya, Shri Vijendra Devra, District Sports In-charge, and Shri Utkarsh Singh Sengar, along with a large number of local youths and other participants. The enthusiastic participation of the young people added vibrancy to the programme and reflected their keen interest in fitness and sports.
As a gesture of encouragement and goodwill, Ramakrishna Mission, Ujjain, distributed fruits to all the participants of the cycle rally.
The programme served as a meaningful observance of National Sports Day, conveying the message that regular physical activity and sports contribute not only to physical well-being but also to discipline, confidence, teamwork and a healthy way of life.
