Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani, organises the Dwipakshik Matri Puja on the third Sunday of every month as a service initiative for economically disadvantaged elderly mothers. Approximately 160 registered beneficiaries receive essential relief materials under this programme.
On 21 June 2026, the programme commenced at 9:30 a.m. with the chanting of Vedic hymns. The registered mothers were welcomed with sandalwood tilak and flower garlands. Each beneficiary received a relief package comprising rice, dal (lentils), potatoes, puffed rice, dalia, and soybeans. In addition, ice cream was served to all the mothers, adding a joyful touch to the occasion.
