A Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Surgery Camp was organized by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, on 26 April 2026. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital to provide essential eye care services to the underprivileged sections of society.
During the camp, a dedicated team of ophthalmologists and paramedical staff from the collaborating hospital performed comprehensive eye examinations for 32 patients. Following the clinical assessments, the following services were rendered:
Cataract Surgery: 9 patients were identified with cataract conditions and were advised to undergo surgical intervention.
Spectacles: Corrective spectacles were distributed to 11 patients to improve their vision.
