On 12 May 2026, the community hall and the “Akhandananda Shiksha Evam Sanskar Kendra” at Vivekananda Seva Sangh, Mandar, were inaugurated by Swami Atmanishthananda. The programme began with Vedic chanting and floral offerings at the portraits of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sri Maa Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.
The community hall was built through the efforts of Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi-Morabadi. Swami Sukhamayananda, in-charge of the Kendra, was also present.
Tribal women of the village offered folk songs, Sarna songs, and Oraon (Kurukh) dance to the accompaniment of the traditional mandar and dhol. Sri Suresh Narayan Jha, Convenor of the Kendra, presented a reading on rural education from the works of Swami Vivekananda. Sri Ram Tigga gave the welcome address, and Sri Kalindar Gop reported on the developmental activities at the centre.
Swami Sukhamayananda, in his address, stressed the importance of unity and the need to nurture children with care, reminding all that the divine dwells within every living being.
Swami Bhaveshananda began his discourse with the Shanti Mantra. He noted that Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi-Morabadi has been serving this region for nearly forty years. He urged parents to enrol their children in the free education centre and outlined five pillars of development: education, values, organisation, organic farming, and service.
Swami Atmanishthananda, in his address, praised the devotional spirit of the villagers and described the community hall as a symbol of rural unity. Recalling Swami Akhandananda’s principle that “an empty stomach knows no religion,” he appealed to parents to make full use of the free coaching and education provided.
Educational materials were gifted to the Kendra by Swami Bhaveshananda and Swami Atmanishthananda. The vote of thanks was offered by Sri Ramji Tigga. The programme concluded with the Shanti Mantra.
