A sacred and highly anticipated ceremony was held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, marking the formal inauguration of the newly established Library at the Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith Agriculture College, Purulia. The new facility is set to become the intellectual and spiritual heart of the institution.
Inaugural Ceremony
The Library was inaugurated by Swami Balabhadrananda, Assistant General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah.
The formal inauguration commenced at 10:45 a.m. with a traditional and solemn ritual. Swami Balabhadrananda inaugurated the Library by:
- Offering floral tributes to Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Maa Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.
- Waving a Camphor Lamp (Arati), symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom that the library represents.
Programme in the Smart Class Hall
Following the inauguration, a formal programme was organized in the college’s Smart Class Hall. The event featured a blend of spiritual inspiration and academic discourse:
