Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jhargram received 10 acres of land as a generous donation from Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Nimpith in July 2024. The donated land, situated about 4 kilometres from the Ashrama campus, was earmarked for a new English-medium, co-educational school. With due permission from the Headquarters, the Ashrama undertook this noble educational initiative.
Establishment and Beginning of the School
Construction of the Primary School Building began on 1st September 2024, and the ground floor was completed within six months. This enabled the school to begin functioning in April 2025 with 160 students studying in Classes I to IV.
This is the first CBSE English-medium school in West Bengal run by the Ramakrishna Mission, and it is proposed to expand gradually from Nursery to Class XII.
Inauguration of the New Building
The three-storied school building, consisting of 16 classrooms, a Science Laboratory, Library, Computer Laboratory, and a Multipurpose Hall, was formally inaugurated on Sunday, 8th February 2026 by Swami Suvirananda ji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.

The ceremony was blessed with the presence of 74 monks and brahmacharins from 16 centres of the Order.

- Smt. Seuli Singha, Chairperson, Jhargram Municipality
- 40 Heads of Institutions from various schools and colleges across the district
- A large assembly of devotees, parents, and well-wishers
Public Response
The event received wide coverage in both print and digital media and was warmly welcomed by the people of Jhargram district. The initiative has been highly appreciated as a significant step toward expanding value-based education in the region.
