A monthly Vidhava Matri Seva programme was organised by Ramakrishna Mission, Kuralbhanga, on 31 May 2026, as part of its ongoing humanitarian service activities. The programme was attended by Sri Paritosh Saha, a well-regarded businessman of Hatsingimari, Assam, who graced the occasion as the special guest.
The proceedings commenced with Vedic chanting rendered by the children of the centre’s Students’ Home, lending an atmosphere of sanctity and spiritual fervour to the occasion. This was followed by an invocatory song presented by Sadhan Dutta, a teacher associated with the institution. The special guest was thereafter felicitated by the students of the centre in a gesture of respectful welcome.
The welcome address was delivered by Swami Ritatmananda, who also presided over the programme. In fulfilment of the primary purpose of the occasion, articles of utility were distributed to twelve widowed mothers — an act of compassionate service in the spirit of the Ramakrishna Order’s ideal of Shiva jnane jiva seva.
