Summer Camp: Kalyani, May 2026

Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani


A Summer Camp was organised by Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani from 23 to 31 May 2026 at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of the Ashrama. The camp was held with the objective of nurturing young minds through moral and value-based education. A total of 33 students from Classes V to VIII, drawn from 9 schools in the locality, participated in the programme, which was conducted daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Throughout the duration of the camp, participants were engaged in a wide range of educational, cultural, and value-oriented activities aimed at their holistic development. Special emphasis was laid on acquainting students with the lives and ideals of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. The daily schedule included meditation and prayer sessions, devotional singing, recitation, storytelling, value-based discussions, and technical sessions on India’s scientific heritage, alongside other extracurricular activities.

A Convocation was held on 31 May 2026 as the concluding event of the camp. Several participants presented cultural programmes on the occasion. The Ashrama Secretary blessed all participants with a motivational address. Participatory certificates and books on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda were distributed among the students.

An inspiring address was delivered on the occasion by Swami Artiharananda, Headmaster, Junior High School, Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home, Rahara.

The Summer Camp generated considerable enthusiasm among students and guardians alike and served as a meaningful initiative in shaping the coming generation with enduring cultural and spiritual values.
