Ramakrishna Math, Antpur, in association with the ashramas under the Hooghly II Bhava Prachar Parishad, organised a series of programmes across Hooghly District to mark National Sports Day.
Awareness programmes were conducted at Antpur, Balaichak, Basudevpur, Chautara, Haripal, Bhangamura, and Beraberi (Singur). Friendly football matches were held at Prasadpur, Parambua, Tisha, and Bhangamura. A rally covering 7 kilometres from Tarakeswar to Chanpadanga was organised with the active participation of eight local ashramas.
A total of 1,400 persons attended and participated across all programmes.
