Ramakrishna Mission, Jaipur celebrated National Sports Day 2026 with enthusiasm and discipline at the Ashrama campus on 30 August 2026, inspired by the age-old maxim, “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body.”
The programme commenced at 8.30 a.m. with prayers to Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda. A number of devotees and well-wishers enthusiastically participated in the yoga session conducted on the occasion. Sri Anil Saini, an eminent yoga instructor, graced the programme and guided the participants through the session.
Swami Vinirmuktananda delivered an inspiring and motivational address on the importance of games and sports in maintaining physical fitness and developing a healthy and balanced personality. He highlighted the values of discipline, perseverance, resilience and determination that can be cultivated through regular participation in sports and physical activities.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by the distribution of delicious and nutritious snacks among all the participants.
The celebration successfully fostered a spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, resilience and self-discipline among the participants. The enthusiastic involvement of devotees and well-wishers made the observance meaningful and inspiring, encouraging everyone to lead a healthier, more active and purposeful life.
