Ramakrishna Mission, Jhargram celebrated National Youth Day on 12 January 2023 with a procession by our students and staff from the ashram to Rabindra Park, a distance of 4 km. A public meeting was held there which was attended by Addl. District Magistrate Jhargram, SDO Jhargram, Principal of Raj College Jhargram and other dignitaries. The statue of Swami Vivekananda at the entrance to the town was garlanded by The Secretary, District Magistrate, Chairman of Jhargram Municipality, etc. The Youth Day was observed in 2 free coaching centres and 2 GAP units run by our ashrama. The Secretary and another monastic member attended the Youth Day celebrations in 3 schools. Swami Vedapurushananda opened a statue of Swamiji on the premises of a school in Jhargram town as part of its centenary celebrations.
