Ramakrishna Math, Bagda, observed National Youth Day on January 12, 2026, with a vibrant commemorative rally aimed at disseminating the life-transforming messages of Swami Vivekananda among the local community.


Commemorative Rally and Public Outreach

The program commenced at 9:00 a.m. on the Math campus.

  • Procession: A ceremonial rally was organized through the village areas of Bagda and Narendrapur. The procession featured a portrait of Swami Vivekananda and posters highlighting his powerful messages to the nation.
  • Participation: The march included monks, local devotees, and invited teachers and students from two local primary schools and one high school.
  • Street Corner Meetings: At four strategic locations along the route, brief discussions were held to explain the relevance of Swamiji’s teachings to the challenges faced by today’s youth.

Conclusion

The rally returned to the Math campus for the concluding ceremony.

  • Tributes: The event closed with a spirited Jayaddhani (victory chants) honoring Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, Sister Nivedita, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, India’s freedom fighters, and Mother India.
  • Distribution: To mark the occasion, sweets and biscuits were distributed to all participants.
