Ramakrishna Math, Basti (Uttar Pradesh), observed National Youth Day on 12 January 2026 with an inspiring program dedicated to local students. The event drew participation from 106 students and 18 faculty members from three local schools.
- The Procession: The day commenced with a vibrant procession through the ashrama campus, with students carrying banners highlighting Swami Vivekananda’s message.
- Programme Highlights: During the two-and-a-half-hour session, students and teachers delivered speeches in both Hindi and English on Swamiji’s life and teachings. The schedule also included moving recitations of Swamiji’s poetry.
- Special Screening: A highlight of the event was a captivating documentary film produced by the Vivekananda Youth Forum, Mumbai, which resonated deeply with the young audience.
- Conclusion: Following the National Anthem, all attendees were presented with tiffin packets and tea. To encourage further study, every participant received a copy of the booklet “Rebuild India.”
