Ramakrishna Mission, Kadapa, celebrated National Youth Day, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, on January 12, 2026. The event was characterized by solemn tributes, motivational addresses, and the recognition of student excellence, drawing more than 300 participants, including youth, students, devotees, and admirers.

The celebration featured two major public meetings and a diverse range of programs designed to empower and inspire the younger generation.

1. Scholastic Support and Awards:

  • Scholarship Distribution: The Mission distributed Merit-cum-Need-Based Scholarships to deserving students to support their educational journeys.
  • Prize Distribution: Winners of the previously conducted Elocution, Essay, and Speech competitions were honored for their academic and oratorical skills.
  • Cultural Programs: Students presented various cultural performances that reflected the spirit of Indian heritage and Swamiji’s ideals.

2. Distinguished Speakers:

  • Swami Anupamananda: As the main speaker, Swami Anupamananda addressed the gatherings at Singapore Township and the Ramakrishna Mission campus. He urged the youth to study and imbibe Swamiji’s life-transforming message. He emphasized that Swami Vivekananda placed immense hope in India’s youth to develop the nation by first transforming themselves and then educating others without distinction of caste, color, or creed.
  • Sri D. S. R. Manohar Reddy: The Correspondent of Sri Vivekananda Group of Educational Institutions noted that Swamiji’s “electrifying message” was a cornerstone of the Indian Freedom Movement. He encouraged modern youth to adopt Swamiji’s ideas of “man-making” and “character-building” education for holistic development.
