On 9 January 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Kankhal, Haridwar, commemorated National Youth Day with a grand award ceremony honoring students for their achievements in various cultural and educational contests. These competitions, which focused on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, were held over the preceding months across 14 schools and within the Sevashrama campus.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 2,100 students. The awards ceremony served as the culmination of these efforts, encouraging the youth to imbibe the values of character-building and service as taught by Swamiji. This celebration of youth excellence was conducted alongside the Ashrama’s ongoing humanitarian efforts, including the winter relief services recently concluded in the Haridwar district.
