Ramakrishna Math, Puducherry, a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, in collaboration with Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, jointly celebrated National Youth Day on Monday, January 12, 2026.
Key Highlights of the Event:
- Attendance: The celebration was attended by 275 participants, including students, teachers, and members of the Ramakrishna Seva Sangham.
- Commencement: The program began with an arati and a discourse on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda delivered by the Monk-in-charge.
- The “Ratham”: A Tata Ace was specially decorated to resemble a ratham (chariot), carrying a featured portrait of Swami Vivekananda for public viewing.
- Students’ Rally:
- The rally was led by the ratham and a student dressed as Swami Vivekananda.
- The procession route passed through Karuvadikuppam, ECR, Krishna Nagar, and the construction site of the new Ramakrishna Math in Puducherry.
- The initiative successfully raised awareness of Swamiji’s ideals among local residents and participating students.
