On Monday, 12 January 2026, Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan organized a commemorative event for National Youth Day (the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda) at the Dayananda Hall.
Distinguished Guests The event was graced by several eminent personalities on the dais:
- Chief Guest: Srimat Swami Purnajnananandaji Maharaj, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Baranagar.
- Guest of Honour: Prof. Sabujkoli Sen, Principal of the School of Language at the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture.
- Institutional Leadership: Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Gupta (Principal, RKMSP-VIMS) and Prof. (Dr.) Sanjoy Mohan Bhattacharjee (Medical Superintendent-cum-Vice Principal, RKMSP) were also in attendance.
Event Highlights The five-hour program, which ran from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., was attended by nearly 400 participants, including students, staff, medical professionals (doctors and nurses), donors, and guests.
The celebration featured a diverse array of cultural and educational activities:
- Performances: Participants presented songs, recitations, speeches, musical performances, dance, and drama.
- Documentary Screening: A highlight of the session was the screening of “A Life of Purpose,” a documentary on Swami Vivekananda produced by the Vivekananda Youth Forum, Mumbai.
The program concluded with the distribution of prasad to all attendees.
