Relief Services: Imphal, December 2021


02 Dec 2021: Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, distributed Fleece Blankets to the needy and elderly villagers at Gamnom Sapormeina & Songpijang, Kangpokpi Dt and Tumuyon Khulllen, Senapati Dt. 32 blankets were provided at G. Sapormeina, 58 at Songpijang and 60 at Tumuyon Khullen. Overall 150 blankets were distributed to the poor & needy. The centre distributed winter trousers & socks, along with nutritious food kits consisting of 1 Kg White Matar, 1 Kg Bengal Gram, a combo pack of Choco flakes & 30 pkts of Horlicks and a Hygiene Kit consisting of a toothbrush, toothpaste, Bathing Soap, Washing powder & Hair Oil, each, to 100 children from underprivileged families at Seloi Basty, Upper Charhazare, Kangpokpi.

Coming to know of the distress these children were undergoing due to the effect of Covid-19 on the already precarious financial condition of their families, the centre has been trying to support their basic education and health & hygiene needs by providing stationery & sports material, along with nutritional food ration (1 kgs White Matar, 1 Kg bengal Gram, 1 Kgs Rajma & 500 gms Soyabean or Health Drinks, every month, on weekly basis) & also monthly Hygiene kits (consisting of toothpaste, hair oil, bathing soap & washing powder). All the beneficiaries belong to Nepali & Kuki Communities residing in the Seloi & nearby villages.

05 Dec 21: Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, visited Lamlai Khunou Village, Kamjong District and provided Fleece blankets to 117 villagers. The centre visited the Sunday School, being held for the village Kids in the local church, and distributed biscuits packets to more than 40 children assembled there.
