A four-day residential Summer Camp was organized at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip, from 11th to 14th May 2026, for children of Classes V to VIII, in the age group of 10 to 14 years. Approximately 80 children participated in the camp.
Daily Routine
The daily schedule extended from 5:53 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and was structured to nurture the physical, intellectual, and spiritual development of the young participants. Each day commenced with morning Prarthana and concluded with evening Aratrika. The programme included Yogasanas, Pranayama, Meditation, Vedic Prayers, Stotras, Bhajans, and Gita Chanting. Sessions on Moral and Values Education, Personality Development, Martial Arts, Dance, Music, and Recitation were also conducted. Special academic classes on Mathematics and Spoken English formed part of the daily curriculum. Life skills were imparted through stories drawn from the lives of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and other great personalities.
Excursion
The camp itinerary included a visit to the nearby Gangasagar beach and the historic Kapil Muni Temple, offering the children an opportunity for cultural enrichment and spiritual orientation.
Resource Persons
Classes on Moral and Values Education and Personality Development were conducted by Swami Amarendrananda, Swami Mahamritananda, Sri Shantanu Gayen, Sri Jayadev Das, Sri Samir Ranjan Giri, Sri Indranil Das, and Sri Panchugopal Bar, along with other members of the Ashrama.
Valedictory Function
At the conclusion of the camp, each participant was presented with a copy of Sobar Swamiji — a work of Swami Vivekananda — along with a Prarthana Book, a notebook, and a pen, as a token of inspiration and encouragement.
