In view of the growing menace of drug abuse among the youth of Tamil Nadu, Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, in association with the Police Department and various social organisations, participated in a 2-km awareness run for a Drug-Free Tamil Nadu on Sunday, 9 August 2026.
Approximately 200 students participated enthusiastically in the run, collectively spreading the message of a healthy and drug-free society. Senior officials from the Police Department and Swami Vimurtananda graced the programme. They inspired the student participants to remain steadfast in their resolve to stay away from the harmful influence of drugs and to grow into responsible citizens committed to building a Drug-Free Tamil Nadu.
