A Spiritual Retreat was conducted at Ramakrishna Math, Halasuru, Bengaluru, on 14 June 2026. A total of 125 devotees participated in the programme.
The first session commenced with bhajans led by Swami Atmaghanananda, Senior Monk, Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, followed by guided meditation and Ashtottara Shatanamavali conducted by Swami Bodhaswarupananda. The second session began with a reading from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna by Brahmachari Purnachaitanya.
Swami Nityasthananda, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, delivered a discourse in Kannada on the message of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi for daily life, explaining how her teachings of purity, forbearance, selfless service, and universal love may be applied in day-to-day life to attain inner peace and spiritual growth.
This was followed by an English discourse by Swami Atmaghanananda on the message of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna for modern man, with special emphasis on the harmony of religions, God-realisation as the goal of life, and the practice of spirituality amidst worldly responsibilities. The devotees greatly benefited from the practical insights shared during both discourses.
The retreat concluded with bhajans, Arati, and distribution of lunch prasad.
