As part of its annual summer relief activities, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar, organised a month-long Jalaseva Programme from 1 to 31 May 2026, providing free refreshing beverages to the general public during the peak summer season.
The programme was undertaken as a humanitarian service initiative aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by commuters, daily wage earners, students, pilgrims, and other members of the public exposed to extreme heat conditions. Throughout the month, monks, devotees, and volunteers of the Mission rendered dedicated service by distributing wholesome and refreshing beverages at the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Library Campus.
The programme benefited approximately 14,500 persons, with a total of 6,900 litres of beverages distributed during the period. The details of distribution are as follows:
