Ramakrishna Math, Kochi, organised an eight-day summer camp for school students between the ages of 9 and 15, from 19 to 26 April 2026. Approximately 40 students participated in the camp.
Programme
The camp offered a well-rounded curriculum drawing from spiritual, cultural, and physical disciplines. The sessions conducted during the camp included:
- Vedic Chanting — imparting the ancient tradition of scriptural recitation
- Bhajans — fostering devotion through devotional music
- Value Education — instilling ethical and spiritual values in young minds
- Sanskrit — introducing participants to the sacred language of India’s spiritual heritage
- Games — promoting physical fitness, team spirit, and wholesome recreation
- Gardening — nurturing a sense of care for nature and the environment
Visit to Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady
As part of the camp, participants were taken on a visit to Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady — the sacred birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya — providing the students with an inspiring and spiritually enriching experience.
Response
The camp was warmly received by both students and parents, who expressed their deep appreciation for the programme and its conduct.
