Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Rajamahendravaram observed Universal Brotherhood Day on 11 September 2026, Friday, marking the 133rd anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s addresses at the World’s Parliament of Religions, Chicago, in 1893.
A special programme was held at Vivekananda Circle, Kambala Cheruvu, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The proceedings commenced with the garlanding of Swami Vivekananda’s statue, followed by Arati, Vedic chanting, and a recitation of Swami Vivekananda’s historic welcome address at the Parliament. Students of the Vivekananda Tuition Centre recited the Swadeshi Mantra and inspiring quotations of Swami Vivekananda. College students spoke on the significance of the occasion, after which monks of the centre addressed the gathering. A copy of Swamiji’s Chicago Addresses was distributed to each student.
Approximately 200 students and devotees participated in the programme.
