In connection with the 125 years of the foundation of the Ramakrishna Mission, Ramakrishna Mission, Jhargram organized a Ratha Yatra from 11 to 20 December 2022 covering all the 8 blocks in the Jhargram district to spread the message of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Ma Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda among the common masses. The Yatra was ceremoniously flagged off by Sri Sunil Agarwala, District Magistrate, Jhargram on 11 December 2022. The well-decorated Vivek Rath with a 9’ cut out of Swami Vivekananda was given a rousing reception by our devotees and well-wishers at all places with conch sounds and flower petals. Sankirtanas, processions, and cultural programs were organised at many places. A public meeting was arranged at each block at the end of the day, where the local dignitaries were present. 20000 copies of Amritabani, published by RMIC, Golpark were distributed to the general public all along the way. The Vivek Ratha covered 1200 kms in its 9-day journey across the district. It was received at 156 places and more than 50000 people participated in the yatra and meetings. All people appreciated a special song composed on this occasion.
