Ramakrishna Mission, Ballari, Karnataka

Ramakrishna Mission, Ballari, organised a residential summer camp for children, designated Viveka Vihara, from 25 April to 5 May 2026. The camp, spanning eleven days, was conducted for students of Classes VI through X. A total of sixty children participated in this programme.

This marked the first summer camp to be held under the auspices of Ramakrishna Mission, Ballari, signifying a meaningful milestone in the centre’s ongoing commitment to the holistic development of youth in the region.

The daily schedule of Viveka Vihara was structured to nurture the inner life and physical wellbeing of the participants in equal measure. Various resource persons conducted sessions in Prayer, Meditation, and Yogasana, offering the children a systematic and age-appropriate introduction to the foundational disciplines of spiritual life as taught by Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.

The programme aimed at inculcating values of concentration, self-discipline, and inner purity among the young participants, drawing inspiration from the ideals of the Ramakrishna Order.
