To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Ramakrishna Mission, Chengalpattu, arranged a small programme on 15 August, 2022 at the Ramakrishna Mission group of schools, Chengalpattu. The Chief Guest was Air Marshal M Matheswaran AVSM VM ( RETD) Indian Air Force and currently the founder president of the Peninsula Foundation, Chennai.
The programme included Oath taking, Classical Dance, Independence Day speech by the Chief Guest, speeches by the students, Yoga demonstration, and other cultural programmes and distribution of prizes (Books, Cash and certificates) to the winners of the Yogasana, Essay writing, Poetry Writing, Elocution and Drawing competitions.
Around 3000 students, 1000 parents, some devotees and well wishers participated in the function. The programme ended with vote of thanks and singing the National Anthem.
