Flood Relief: Chandigarh, October 2025

Ramakrishna Mission, Chandigarh

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh, conducted flood relief work on 11th October 2025 in village Kathwa, tehsil Shahbad Markanda, district Kurukshetra, Haryana, to support families affected by recent floods.

Essential relief materials were distributed to the affected households, which included:

  • 150 waterproof tarpaulins for roof cover to 150 families,
  • 185 school bags (each containing notebooks, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners) to 185 children,
  • 1 blackboard for a local school,
  • 15 folding beds for 15 families,
  • 12 buckets and 12 steel patilas distributed to 12 families, and
  • 12 food kits (each containing 10 kg wheat, 5 litres oil, 3 kg lentils, condiments, and salt) distributed to 12 families.

These efforts provided immediate relief and essential household support to the flood-affected people of the region.
