Most Revered Srimat Swami Gautamananda Ji Maharaj, President of the Ramakrishna Order, graciously visited the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jhargram, on December 5th and 6th, 2025. His visit was primarily to inaugurate significant new infrastructure at the Ashrama.
Details of Inaugurated Buildings (December 6, 2026)
On December 6, 2026, Most Revered President Maharaj inaugurated two major construction projects.
1. Monks Quarters (First Floor)
- Inauguration: First floor of the Monks Quarters.
- Facilities: Contains 6 spacious rooms, a Kitchen, and a Dining Hall.
- Financial Assistance: Constructed with the generous financial assistance of Dr. Ashoke Kumar Pradhan, Renowned Homeopathic Consultant.
2. Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira (EMRS) School Extension Building
- Inauguration: A new G+2 (three-storied) School Extension building.
- Facilities: Contains 12 classrooms, a seminar hall, a library, stores, and school offices.
- Financial Assistance: Constructed with a generous contribution of ₹2.93 crores from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Inauguration Ceremony and Public Meeting
The inauguration of the School Extension building was followed by a public meeting, attended by a distinguished gathering:
- Monastic Dignitaries: 41 Sadhus, including 4 Heads of Centres, representing 14 centres of the Ramakrishna Order.
- Special Guests: Sri Ashok Kumar Das (Senior Dy. General Manager/ RVNL) and Dr. Ashoke Kumar Pradhan.
- The event was also attended by Managing Committee members, local devotees, staff, and students.
