In observance of National Sports Day 2026 under the theme “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat”, and in accordance with the guidelines received from the Headquarters, Belur Math, Ramakrishna Mission, Nabadwip organised a series of events from 28 to 30 August 2026 spanning sports awareness, competitive football, and a community cycle rally.
28 August 2026 — Sports Awareness Seminar
A sports-related seminar was held at Swami Vagishananda Hall on 28 August 2026. The seminar brought together students, youth, and members of the local community to deliberate upon the significance of sports in nation-building. The day also coincided with the observance of Raksha Bandhan.
29 August 2026 — Exhibition Football Matches
Two exhibition football matches were arranged on 29 August 2026 at the grounds of Nabadwip Athletic Club. Students, youth, sports lovers, and sports enthusiasts of Nabadwip were present in considerable numbers. The spirited performances of the footballers drew appreciation from all sections of the audience in attendance.
30 August 2026 — Cycle Rally
A Cycle Rally was organised in the morning of 30 August 2026 and was attended by participants drawn from all age groups. Participants carried placards bearing the theme “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat” and rallied across different parts of Nabadwip town, spreading awareness of the importance of sports and physical fitness among the wider public.
