A grand and inspiring ceremony was organized at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi, to commemorate National Youth Day. The event featured the Honorable Governor of Jharkhand as the Chief Guest, who addressed the youth on the importance of internalizing the values and ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
Inaugural Session
The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by Vedic chanting.
- Welcome Address: Swami Bhaveshananda Ji Maharaj, Secretary of the Ashrama, delivered the welcome speech. He emphasized that the current era belongs to the youth and that organizing and empowering them is essential for nation-building. He further noted that active youth participation is vital for establishing India as the world’s third-largest economic superpower.
Chief Guest’s Address
In his keynote address, the Honorable Governor highlighted that Swami Vivekananda’s principles—self-confidence, patriotism, service, and character building—remain deeply relevant today. He spoke extensively about Swamiji’s invaluable contribution to giving India a proud identity on the global stage.
- Awards and Recognition: During the ceremony, the Governor honored and presented awards to outstanding contestants from Jharkhand to encourage their efforts.
Special Guest Contributions
The event featured addresses from several distinguished guests:
- Prof. Jaganathan Chekhalingam (Vice-Chancellor, Sarala Birla University) and Dr. Nishant Goyal (Professor and CEO, Ranchi) shared their insights and offered best wishes to the students for their future endeavors.
- Suresh Narayan Jha (State Chief Coordinator) provided introductory remarks regarding the objectives and activities of the “Rebuild India” campaign.
