Swami Gautamanandaji has been elected the President and Swami Divyanandaji and Swami Vimalatmanandaji Vice-Presidents of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.

Revered President Maharaj will be visiting Srinagar from 8 to 12 May.
Swami Suhitanandaji will visit Delhi from 2 to 7 May; Bengaluru from 21 to 23 May; and Koyilandy, Kozhikode and Thrissur from 24 to 29 May.
Swami Bhajananandaji is at Belur Math.
Swami Girishanandaji will be visiting Contai, Chandipur and Garbeta from 2 to 21 May, and Kasundia centre in Howrah from 28 to 30 May.
Swami Divyanandaji is scheduled to visit Raiganj, Hemtabad and Gangarampur from 8 to 15 May; Jalpaiguri, Mathabhanga, Cooch Behar and Mekhliganj from 18 to 21 May; Mumbai on 25 and 26 May; and Antpur from 27 to 31 May.
Swami Vimalatmanandaji will visit Manasadwip and Kakdwip from 7 to 17 May, and Dakshineshwar on 30 and 31 May.
All of them are keeping well.
Headquarters
Special Puja and Bhandara were held at Belur Math on 7 April in memory of our late President Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj. Devotees thronged the Math in large numbers throughout the day. Lunch prasad was served to about 1000 monks and 50,000 devotees. Swami Gautamanandaji presided over the memorial meeting held in the afternoon.
New Math Centre
A new Math centre has been started in Adipur, Gujarat, following the taking over of Sri Ramakrishna Seva Kendra, Adipur, last month.

News of Branch Centres in India
Swami Girishanandaji inaugurated the renovated school campus of Malda centre located in the Amriti area of Malda on 25 March.
Muzaffarpur centre hosted a two-day seminar on Ishavasya Upanishad on 30 and 31 March in association with Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University and Langat Singh College in Muzaffarpur. Scholars presented 26 papers before an audience of 160 people in the seminar.
Mayavati Ashrama celebrated its 125th anniversary (1899 – 2024) with a two-day function on 31 March and 1 April. Sri Gurmit Singh, Governor of Uttarakhand, was the Chief Guest at the inaugural event on 31 March. A youths’ convention, two symposiums on Advaita Vedanta and a retreat for monks were conducted to mark the occasion. In all, 41 monks, 350 devotees and youths attended the celebration.
Sohra centre celebrated its centenary (1924 – 2024) from 6 to 8 April with a grand procession, public meetings, a panel discussion and cultural performances. About 100 monks and 9000 lay devotees, students and alumni participated in the three-day programme.
Swami Suhitanandaji inaugurated Swami Atmasthananda Bhavan (office block) at Rajkot centre on 17 April. On the same day, he also opened five pictorial exhibitions at the centre.
Gurugram centre has developed a retreat centre, named Sarada Tapovan, in Jaulangi, 80 km off Rishikesh towards Uttarkashi. Swami Vimalatmanandaji dedicated the facility on 17 April in the presence of 25 monks and 125 devotees. On this occasion, 450 villagers in the vicinity were sumptuously fed.
The General Secretary inaugurated on 17 April a dispensary set up by Balaram Mandir centre at a newly acquired building near the centre.
Basavanagudi centre, Bengaluru, conducted a two-day seminar on Ramayana on 20 and 21 April. About 700 people including students from Karnataka Samskrit University, Bengaluru, participated in the seminar.
The new monks’ quarters and the welcome gate at Thrissur Math were opened on 28 April.
Students of Narendrapur Blind Boys’ Academy won 15 gold and 11 silver medals in the National Paralympic Swimming Championship held in Gwalior on 31 March.
Thanjavur centre served buttermilk to 1500 devotees who joined the chariot festival at Sri Brihadeeswara Temple on 20 April.
Madurai Math served buttermilk to 3500 devotees on the occasion of the chariot festival at Meenakshi Devi Temple on 22 and 26 April.
News of Branch Centres outside India
Sao Paulo centre, Brazil, celebrated its silver jubilee (1999 – 2024) with a two-day programme on 6 and 7 April. Special worship, devotional singing, lectures and cultural events were held. Sri Suresh K Reddy, Ambassador of India to Brazil, and other distinguished personalities attended the event.
The High Commission of India in Suva, Fiji, awarded Bharat Viti Maitri Award to Fiji centre for its contribution to society and community. Prof. Biman Prasad, Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji, handed over the award on 7 April.
Dhaka and Narayanganj centres in Bangladesh put up camps at Langalbandh in Narayanganj district on 15 and 16 April on the occasion of Ashtami Snana, an annual bathing festival, at Brahmaputra River. Snacks and drinking water were served to pilgrims and medical help was extended in the camps.

Values Education and Youth Programmes
Dhaleswar, Agartala: A teachers’ convention on 21 April in which 100 teachers from 12 institutions participated.
Gurugram: Four teachers’ training programmes on values education in Delhi and Sohra from 18 to 23 March attended by 313 teachers in all.
Kankurgachhi, Kolkata: A youths’ camp in Bagnan, Shyampur, Howrah, on 25 February in which 58 youths took part.
Kanpur: A special talk on 13 April attended by 200 school and college students.
Madurai: A workshop for parents on 6 April which was attended by 258 people.
Raipur: A personality development camp at a school in Raipur on 15 April in which 310 students and 40 teachers participated.
Thanjavur: Two values education programmes on 5 and 16 April in which a total of 130 students took part.
The following centres held summer camps for students. The programmes included chanting, bhajans, yogasanas, values education classes, etc.

Eye Camps and other Healthcare Services
The following centres conducted medical camps. A summary of the services provided by them is given below.
India:
Bajepratappur, Bardhaman: A medical camp and a blood donation camp in village Dutta Dariaton, Dist. Purba Bardhaman, on 28 March in which 100 patients were treated and 38 units of blood were collected.
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad): A medical camp from 31 March to 2 April at Paithan, the birthplace of Sant Eknath in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, on the occasion of Nath Shashthi Mela. In all, 2876 patients were treated in the camp.
Gurap: An eye camp on 9 April in which 32 patients were checked; subsequently, 2 of them were operated on at an eye hospital.
Jammu: (i) Held a medical camp on 24 April attended by 415 patients. (ii) Arranged cataract surgery for 10 patients on 27 April.
Jamshedpur: Two eye camps on 29 March and 20 April in which a total of 92 patients were screened and 20 were operated on for cataract.
Kalyani: A blood donation camp on 31 March in which 60 people donated blood.
Kanpur: A medical camp at Tajpur village in Unnao district on 21 April in which 204 patients were treated.
Khetri: A total of 145 eye patients were checked in March and April, and subsequently 47 were operated on for cataract at an eye hospital.
Lucknow: (i) 5931 eye patients were checked and 592 were operated on and given spectacles in March. (ii) A talk on glaucoma awareness on 12 March, and a glaucoma screening camp from 14 to 16 March.
Madurai: (i) Two eye camps on 17 March and 21 April: A total of 244 patients were screened, 73 were operated on for cataract, and 14 were given spectacles. (ii) A health awareness programme focusing on cardiac health, yogasana and siddha system on 31 March attended by 184 people.
Nabadwip: A medical camp on 31 March in which 150 people underwent eye check-ups and blood sugar tests.
Nattarampalli: An eye camp on 21 April: 266 patients were checked, 62 were operated on for cataract in an eye hospital, and 40 were given spectacles.
Porbandar: An eye camp on 12 April: 87 patients were treated and subsequently 60 were operated on for cataract in an eye hospital.
Rahara: (i) A medical camp in Bangaon block of North 24 Parganas district on 31 March in which 925 patients were treated. (ii) Another medical camp in Canning block of South 24 Parganas district on 21 April in which 553 patients were treated.
Ranchi Morabadi: 218 eye patients were checked and 11 were operated on in April.
Visakhapatnam: A medical camp in Tholusurupalli village on 17 March: 89 patients were treated; 7 of them underwent eye surgery.
