Amphan Cyclone Relief
West Bengal: The extremely severe cyclone Amphan made landfall over the West Bengal coast on 20 May and left a trail of destruction in many parts of the state and some areas of Bangladesh. The cyclone rendered thousands of people homeless, uprooted trees and electric poles and caused inundation of several areas. Details of the relief operations carried out by our branch centres in response to the disaster are as follows.

The following branch centres distributed items, shown against their names, to needy people:
India
- Mysuru: 353 blankets, 3555 T-shirts and 3555 trousers from 28 November to 9 February.
- Ootacamund: 300 blankets from 21 December to 13 June.
Zambia
- Lusaka: 100 kg powdered maize and 150 assorted garments to an orphanage on 29 June.
