Flood Relief:
India: Relentless rains triggered widespread floods and landslides across several states, causing severe damage to infrastructure and local livelihoods. In its wake, the following centres carried out relief operations in the affected areas.
Assam:
a. Dibrugarh centre distributed 4450 kg rice, 990 kg pulses, 502.5 kg chira (rice flakes), 3220 kg potatoes, 460 kg soya chunks, 1050 kg onions, 1008 litres cooking oil, 1600 kg salt, 100 kg turmeric powder, 1050 kg sugar, 1006 packets of biscuits, 100 kg tea powder, 1000 matchboxes, 1032 bars of bathing soap, 1020 bars of dishwashing soap and 1005 shopping bags among 1005 families in Charaideo and Sivasagar districts from 27 to 29 July.
b. Guwahati centre:
- Distributed 60 saris, 300 Mekhela sadors (traditional clothing worn by women from Assam), 130 dhotis, 300 vests, 300 gamchas (towels), 300 bedsheets, 300 mosquito nets, 300 plates, 300 bowls, 300 tumblers, 160 kg bleaching powder and 124 litres liquid disinfectant among 360 families in Charaideo and Sivasagar districts on 1 August.
- Provided 325 utensil sets, 350 bedsheets, 175 kg bleaching powder and 162 litres liquid disinfectant to 325 families on 14 August in Sivasagar district. Each utensil set contained a cooking pot, a kadai (wok), 2 plates, 2 bowls, 2 tumblers, a ladle, a spatula, a bucket and a mug. In addition to the above items, 75 blankets and 75 mosquito nets were distributed among an equal number of families.
Kerala:

c. Pala Math served 564 plates of meals to 188 people in Kottayam district on 4 and 5 August.
d. Thiruvalla centre provided shelter to 30 persons whose houses were waterlogged. The centre also held a medical camp at its charitable dispensary, where 20 patients received medicines.
Odisha:
e. Bhubaneswar centre distributed:
- 2500 kg chira and 1000 kg jaggery among 5000 people in Jajpur district on 2 August.
- Ration kits among 160 families in Khordha district on 5 August. Each kit contained 5 kg chira, 1 kg jaggery, 2 kg flour, 1 kg semolina, 2 kg pulses, 2 kg potatoes, 2 kg onions, 1 litre cooking oil, 1 kg salt, 2 packets of biscuits, and a bar of bathing soap.
- 5000 kg chira and 1000 kg jaggery among 2000 families in Balasore district on 23 and 24 August.
f. Kothar centre served meals to 3250 people in Bhadrak district on 30 and 31 July.
ix. Uttarakhand: Rishikesh Math distributed 300 kg flour, 200 kg rice, 300 kg pulses, 250 kg potatoes, 100 litres cooking oil, and 300 bars of bathing soap among 100 families in Dehradun district on 24 August.
West Bengal:
Chandipur Math distributed 8050 kg chira, 2500 kg sugar, 700 kg rice, 1650 kg pulses, 2000 kg soya chunks, 300 litres cooking oil, 3200 packets of chanachur (crunchy snack mixture), 3200 packets of fried chira, 5160 packets of biscuits, 150 packets of milk powder, 3006 litres drinking water and 600 packets of candles among 4362 families in Purba Medinipur district from 17 to 23 August.

Medinipur centre distributed 200 kg chira, 200 kg puffed rice, 378 kg jaggery, 400 packets of biscuits, 540 litres drinking water, 400 packets of ORS, 400 bars of bathing soap, 200 kg detergent powder, 400 tubes of toothpaste, 400 toothbrushes, 390 saris and 400 dhotis among 390 families in Paschim Medinipur district from 23 to 25 August.
Narendrapur centre distributed 1035 kg puffed rice, 138 kg fried chira, 149 kg fried gram, 345 kg sattu (roasted gram flour), 138 kg chanachur, 3795 packets of biscuits, 276 kg snacks and 180 mosquito nets among 345 families in South 24 Parganas district on 21 and 22 August.
Tamluk centre distributed 1200 kg chira, 1200 kg puffed rice, 600 kg sugar, 600 kg sattu, 600 kg fried chira, 640 kg chanachur, 600 kg snacks, 2480 packets of biscuits, 240 kg milk powder, 2400 bars of bathing soap and 120 litres of water purifier drops among 1208 families in Purba Medinipur district on 23 and 24 August.
Bangladesh: In the first week of July 2026, severe flooding caused extensive damage to life and property across South Chittagong, Bangladesh. In response, Chittagong centre distributed 230 saris, 230 dhotis, 230 mosquito nets, 230 bedsheets and 230 blankets among 230 families in Chittagong district during the first week of July.

India:
Coimbatore Mission: 872 meals and 70 kg nutrition powder from 29 July to 25 August.
Hatamuniguda: 94 saris, 100 lungis and 100 dhotis on 10 August.
Jayrambati: 200 kg pulses, 100 kg soya chunks, 100 litres cooking oil, 30 kg assorted spices, 100 saris, 100 bottles of hair oil, 100 bars of bathing soap, 100 bars of washing soap and 100 kg detergent powder on 20 August.
Kalady: 50 saris on 12 August.
Krishnanagar: 173 bottles of body oil and 173 gamchas on 8 and 21 July.
Malda: 100 kg rice and 400 kg potatoes from 5 to 26 July.
Thirumukkudal: 190 meals and 140 provision kits on 13 and 14 August. Each kit contained 5 kg rice, 1.75 kg pulses, 500 ml cooking oil, 400 g ground spices, 1 kg salt, a bar of bathing soap, and a bar of laundry soap. Additionally, 53 packets of diapers were distributed on the same days.
Vadodara: 280 kg flour, 120 kg rice, 50 kg pulses, 30 litres cooking oil, 40 kg salt, 10 kg assorted spices, 40 kg sugar, 10 kg tea powder and 20 bars of bathing soap on 2 and 18 August.
Varanasi Home of Service: 860 kg dalia (wheat groats), 50 kg chira, 167 kg soya chunks, 26 kg gram, 7 kg groundnuts, 11 litres cooking oil, 88 litres milk, 4 kg malt drink mix, 124 packets of biscuits, 56 kg dry fruits, 20 kg sweets, 88 tubes of toothpaste, 96 toothbrushes, 135 bars of bathing soap, 15 litres sanitizer, 66 T-shirts, 41 track pants, 2 footballs and a volleyball from 1 to 31 July.

Viveknagar, Agartala: (a) 2275 food packets from 22 July to 25 August. (b) 108 ration kits in August. Each kit contained 5 kg rice, 1 kg pulses, 1 kg puffed rice, 500 ml cooking oil, 400 g ground spices, 1 kg salt, 1 kg sugar, 250 g tea powder, 1 kg milk powder, a bar of bathing soap, 500 g detergent powder, a bottle of hair oil, a tube of toothpaste and a toothbrush.

Distress Rehabilitation:
Maharashtra: Mumbai centre excavated 5 wells and installed solar-powered drinking water systems in 3 of them, across five villages of Palghar district. The facilities were inaugurated on 20 and 21 August.
