Revered President Maharaj, who was admitted to Seva Pratishthan on 21 August for a medical check‑up, returned to Belur Math on 23 August. He will visit Kamarpukur and Jayrambati from 25 September to 2 October.
Swami Suhitanandaji is scheduled to visit Hyderabad, Jammu, Srinagar and Khetri from 9 to 21 September.
Swami Bhajananandaji is recuperating well in Vrindavan.
Swami Girishanandaji, while on a tour of Gujarat, fell ill and was admitted to Wockhardt Hospitals, Rajkot, on 12 August. After being discharged on 18 August, he rested at Rajkot and Mumbai centres for a few days and reached Narendrapur centre on 28 August, where he is recovering.
Swami Divyanandaji is scheduled to visit Delhi, Kankhal and Dehradun from 9 to 19 September, and Guwahati and Kharupetia from 24 September to 1 October.
Swami Vimalatmanandaji will be visiting Guwahati and Kuralbhanga from 7 to 21 September, and Antpur from 25 to 30 September.
All of them are keeping well.

New Math Sub-centre
A new sub-centre of Chennai Math has been started in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, a sacred pilgrimage site associated with the lives of the Holy Trio. On 4 June, Revered President Maharaj visited the sub‑centre and laid the foundation stone for the proposed temple there.

News of Branch Centres in India
Sri Soumen Sen, Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, visited Kochi centre on 29 July.
Sri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, inaugurated “Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Centre – Viveka Smaraka” in Mysuru on 1 August, in the august presence of Revered President Maharaj. Sri Thaawar Chand Gehlot, Governor of Karnataka; Sri D K Shivakumar, Chief Minister of Karnataka; and other dignitaries attended the event. Built by Mysuru Ashrama, Viveka Smaraka encompasses a historical building where Swami Vivekananda stayed for two weeks in 1892. Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister visited Mysuru Ashrama main campus and addressed a public meeting. In all, 7500 people attended the programme.
The welcome gate of Ranchi Sanatorium was inaugurated on 9 August.
A statue of Swami Vivekananda was unveiled at the school campus of Kozhikode centre on 10 August.
Revered President Maharaj dedicated a prayer hall on the rural campus of Malda Ashrama at Amrity village on 13 August. He also opened the third floor of the high school building on the Ashrama’s main campus on 14 August.
Coimbatore Mission centre conducted State Level Paralympics Sports Tournaments for persons with disabilities on 19 and 20 August. A total of 344 participants from 24 districts of Tamil Nadu were in attendance.
As announced in the April 2026 Bulletin, Indas Sri Ramakrishna Sevashram in Bankura was taken over, and a sub-centre of Somsar branch was started there. To mark the beginning of the sub‑centre, a programme comprising special worship, homa, a procession, cultural programmes, and a public meeting presided over by Swami Suhitanandaji was held on 23 August. In all, 6500 devotees attended the programme.
The newly built hostel building at the Gayaji sub-centre of the headquarters was inaugurated on 24 August.
The reconstructed workers’ quarters building, named Sevak Nivas, at Indore centre was opened on 14 August.
The water treatment plant at Viveknagar centre, Agartala, was inaugurated on 5 August.
Awards and Recognitions
Students of our Jhargram school won 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals at the International Karate Championship conducted by Global Seishinkai Shitoryu Karate do Federation in Kolkata from 31 July to 2 August.
A student of Chennai Vidyapith secured first place in the National Level Nanotechnology Quiz, held during the Bengaluru India Nano Summit, conducted by the Government of Karnataka in Bengaluru from 3 to 5 August.
Students of our Viveknagar school, Agartala, bagged the first prize in the state-level quiz competition jointly held by the North Eastern Space Application Centre, Government of India, and the Tripura Space Application Centre, in September. Additionally, three students of the school secured the first, second and third place in the state‑level Junior Mathematical Olympiad conducted by the Tripura State Council for Science and Technology, Government of Tripura.

Values Education and Youth Programmes
The following centres held programmes mentioned against their names:

Basavanagudi, Bengaluru: A values education programme for youths on 30 July, in which 70 students took part.
Coimbatore Mission: Nine values education programmes from 30 July to 28 August at nearby schools and colleges, in which a total of 1032 students participated.
Cuttack: A youths’ convention on 2 August, which was attended by 204 students.
Gol Park, Kolkata: A residential camp from 14 to 16 August, in which 102 youths from 12 districts of West Bengal took part.
Gurugram: (i) Eleven values education programmes in different parts of the country from 31 July to 26 August, in which altogether 426 students and teachers took part. (ii) Five online values education programmes from 8 to 24 August, in which a total of 127 corporate professionals, principals and teachers were in attendance.
Jalpaiguri: Seven values education programmes in various schools and colleges of Jalpaiguri district from 30 July to 21 August, in which a total of 1285 students and teachers took part.
Jhargram: A district-level yogasana competition from 14 July to 2 August, in which 306 students participated.
Kalyani: A youths’ conference on 15 August, in which 270 youths took part.

Eye Camps and other Healthcare Services
The following centres conducted medical camps. A summary of the services provided by them is given below.
India:
Asansol: A blood donation camp on 21 August, in which 74 people donated blood.
Balurghat: A blood donation camp on 9 August, in which 39 units of blood were collected.
Bankura: Eye camps from 27 June to 27 August: 340 were screened, 42 were operated on, and 97 were given spectacles.
Chennai Math: (i) An eye camp in Chengalpattu district, with the help of Chengalpattu centre, on 19 July, in which 113 patients were screened; subsequently, 26 underwent cataract surgery at an eye hospital in Chennai, and 71 were given spectacles. (ii) A medical camp in Chengam, in association with Chengam centre, on 9 August, in which 110 patients were treated.
Coimbatore Mission: Seven medical camps (1 eye and 6 general) in rural and tribal areas of Coimbatore district from 2 to 23 August, in which a total of 338 patients were treated.
Cuttack: A blood donation camp on 8 August, in which 37 units of blood were collected.
Dhaleswar, Agartala: Two medical camps in nearby areas on 8 and 22 August, in which a total of 221 patients were treated.
Digboi: Six medical camps from 1 to 23 August, in which altogether 106 patients were treated.
Gurap: An eye camp on 11 August, in which 17 patients were checked.
Itanagar: (i) Two blood donation camps on 13 and 15 August, in which altogether 48 units of blood were collected. (ii) An eye camp on 22 August, in which 306 patients were screened.
Konampatti: (i) Four medical camps from 2 to 23 August, in which a total of 124 patients were treated. (ii) An eye camp, in association with an eye hospital, on 23 August, in which 66 patients were screened; of them 24 underwent cataract surgery at the hospital, and 30 were given spectacles.
Lucknow: Eye camps in July: 4276 patients were examined, of whom 95 underwent cataract surgery and received spectacles.
Madurai: An eye camp on 16 August, in which 147 patients were screened. Of them, 44 were operated on for cataract in a local eye hospital, and 10 were given spectacles.
Naora: (i) Three eye camps from 6 to 20 August, in which a total of 52 patients were treated. (ii) Two health awareness camps on 9 and 20 August; altogether 343 patients benefitted from the camps. (iii) Two Ayurvedic medical camps on 8 and 21 August, in which a total of 145 patients were treated.
Nattarampalli: An eye camp on 16 August: 167 patients were checked; of them, 84 were operated on for cataract in an eye hospital, and 15 were given spectacles.
Porbandar: An eye camp on 14 August, where 81 patients were checked; later on, 61 were operated on for cataract in an eye hospital.
Salem: Two eye camps at nearby places on 5 July and 16 August: in all, 435 patients were checked; 166 of them were operated on for cataract in an eye hospital, and 75 were given spectacles.
Silchar: An eye camp at a nearby place on 27 August: 64 patients were checked; subsequently, 21 were operated on for cataract in an eye hospital.
Thanjavur: Two dental camps on 18 and 21 August, in which a total of 210 patients were treated.
Vadodara: Eye camps from April to June, in which a total of 1154 patients were checked; 120 of them underwent cataract surgery in a hospital.
Viveknagar, Agartala: (i) Two dental cum health awareness camps on 2 and 9 August at West Tripura district, by which altogether 85 patients benefitted. (ii) Three medical camps from 2 to 19 August at Narsingarh and Gomati districts, in which a total of 137 patients were treated.
Outside India:
Batticaloa (a sub-centre of Colombo branch), Sri Lanka: Medical camps at Kiran, Sittandy and Kudumimalai in July and August, in which altogether 1318 patients received medical aid.
Durban, South Africa: Two medical camps at Ermelo and Newcastle on 15 and 16 August, in which a total of 685 patients were treated.
Phoenix, South Africa: A medical camp at Tongaat, Durban, on 23 August, in which 70 medical professionals from different medical fields offered 1605 consultations.
Obituary
We record with sorrow the passing away of Br. Jnanachaitanya (David) at 6.17 pm Pacific Time on 19 August (6.47 am Indian Time on 20 August) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 87. A disciple of Swami Prabhavanandaji Maharaj, he joined the order at Hollywood centre in 1967 and received brahmacharya diksha from Swami Asheshanandaji Maharaj in 1979. Apart from a brief period at the Trabuco monastery, he spent his entire monastic life at the Hollywood monastery. He faithfully managed the monastery for decades and actively participated in interfaith dialogue. His calm and unassuming demeanour endeared him to monks and devotees alike.
