Distress Relief
The following centres distributed various items to needy people, as detailed below:
India:
Jayrambati: 200 kg pulses, 100 litres cooking oil, 30 kg assorted spices, 100 saris, 100 towels, 100 bottles of hair oil, 100 bars of bathing soap, 100 bars of washing soap and 100 kg detergent powder on 20 May.

Malda: 110 meals, 125 kg rice and 250 kg potatoes from 29 March to 26 April.
Salem: 150 kg chira (rice flakes), 200 kg ragi flour, 500 kg pulses, 50 kg dates and 100 kg fried gram among 100 expectant women on 16 May.
Thirumukkudal: 185 meals and 140 provision kits on 16 May. Each kit contained 5 kg rice, 1.75 kg pulses, 500 ml cooking oil, 400 g ground spices, 1 kg salt, a bar of bathing soap, and a bar of laundry soap. In addition, 860 diapers were distributed on the same day.
Vadodara: 520 kg flour, 200 kg rice, 130 kg pulses, 70 litres cooking oil, 40 kg salt, 10 kg assorted spices, 80 kg sugar, 20 kg tea powder and 20 bars of bathing soap from 3 to 18 May.
Varanasi Home of Service: 732 kg dalia (wheat groats), 35 kg chira, 125 kg soya chunks, 18 kg gram, 5 kg groundnuts, 8 litres cooking oil, 64 litres milk, 3 kg malt drink mix, 88 packets of biscuits, 39 kg dry fruits, 14.5 kg sweets and 101 bars of bathing soap from 1 to 30 April.
Viveknagar, Agartala: 3965 food packets to footpath dwellers from 24 March to 23 May.

Sri Lanka: The Batticaloa sub-centre of Colombo branch distributed 2504 notebooks, 626 pens, 626 pencils and 626 erasers from 4 to 25 May.
Distress Rehabilitation
Bangladesh: Bagerhat centre built a tin-shed house for a poor man in Bagerhat district. It was inaugurated on 11 May.
Economic Rehabilitation
Tamil Nadu: Nattarampalli Math gave 22 sewing machines to as many underprivileged women on 9 May, upon completion of their training from the centre’s tailoring unit.
West Bengal: Antpur Math provided 5 sewing machines to as many needy women on 28 April.
