Phoenix: The centre distributed 300 food hampers and vegetable packs along with nutrient cereals. It also distributed a litre of milk and a loaf of bread to 20 families thrice a week. The Ashrama’s clinic provided counselling services to healthcare professionals and workers.
Colombo: The centre along with its sub-centre at Batticaloa distributed 13,603 kg rice, 5376 kg flour, 719 kg pulses, 717 kg soya chunks, 1329 kg potatoes, 1387 kg onions, 224 kg noodles, 1886 kg salt, 21 kg chilli powder, 472 coconuts, 250 packets of tea leaves, 6 kg milk powder, 66 kg health drink, 2562 kg sugar, 158 packets of biscuits, 10 packets of detergent powder, 10 packets of tissue paper and 611 bars of soap among 3038 families in Colombo and Batticaloa from 2 to 25 April.
Lusaka: The centre handed over 200 hand sanitizer bottles to the Epilepsy Association of Zambia and distributed 1250 kg maize powder, 100 kg sugar, 25 kg salt, 4 litres cooking oil and 150 bars of soap to poor people in Lusaka in April.
